Mental Health Therapist
Job Summary
This position is responsible for providing direct counseling services to individuals, couples, and groups.

Responsibilities
Provides direct counseling services. - 60%
- Provides counseling services to individuals, couples, and groups.
- Provides consulting support to staff, faculty, and administrators.
- Provides crisis counseling as needed.
- Obtain clinical supervision when needed or required by licensure.
- Administers and interprets assessments to aid in the delivery of services with special attention to risk assessments for self-harm and harm to others.
- Maintains timely, accurate, and professional documentation.
Assists in the delivery of counseling services and programs. - 35%
- Participates in case conferences and case presentations.
- Assists in the development and implementation of mental health student programming.
- Works with the college community to develop the counseling program to meet the needs of the campus.
- Evaluate services provided.
Performs a variety of related duties. - 5%
- Serves on a variety of college committees.
- Engages in professional service to the campus community.
- Participate in on-going professional development activities.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Masters degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required.
Other Required Qualifications
- Possession of or ability to readily obtain state professional counseling licensure.
- Required License: LPC, LCSW, LMSW, or other equivalent license. If applicants hold an LMSW they must currently be in clinical supervision working toward LCSW licensure. If holding an LMSW please include supervisor name, clinical hours and supervision hours completed to date.
Required Experience
More than one year of related experience is required.
