Meta-research project: Exploring replication in autism research
About the Project
Replication is a key process through which knowledge advances whereby researchers repeat a previous study to test whether an observation is robust and likely to be true. However, given the constraints on resources (time and research funding) not all studies can be replicated. This raises an important but neglected question, how should we choose what to replicate? (see Isager et al, 2023). This question is increasingly relevant given the open research movement’s drive for systematic replication.
