As Augusta University's communications and marketing team, we support departments across campuses, developing partnerships via social media, graphic design, and marketing.
Job Summary
The Manager, Internal Communications develops strategies to engage campus audiences with the university's mission and initiatives; supervises staff; manages newsletters, publications, and announcements; handles crisis communications; leads messaging via Salesforce Marketing Cloud; ensures alignment and consistency; plans and writes content; responds to feedback; ensures ADA compliance; and stays informed of trends.
Responsibilities
Includes supervising staff, developing content, responding to feedback, drafting messages, handling crises, managing communications tools, improving systems, establishing strategies, writing for various mediums, and ensuring training and consistency.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or related field, with at least five years of related experience and two years in a supervisory role.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a journalist and with a medical school; skilled at building relationships and working cross-functionally.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Strong attention to detail, writing and editing experience, interpersonal skills, creative strategy development, familiarity with IT, and understanding of higher education.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F; Pay Band: B11; Salary: $56,600 - $65,200 annually; Benefits include health insurance, retirement, vacation, and tuition assistance.
