Help advance micro-transfer printing towards higher throughput, tighter process control and fully automated wafer-scale integration
What you will do
- You will join the team at imec-Ghent focused on maturing micro-transfer printing technology for heterogeneous integration.
- You will operate high-precision micro-transfer printing equipment and develop print recipes for the integration of III-V devices on 200mm silicon photonics wafers.
- You will develop and optimize print recipes towards robust and fully automated printing, reducing the need for manual intervention.
- You will help improve tool throughput, accuracy and repeatability by identifying limitations in the printing process and implementing process and automation improvements.
- You will use Python and other software tools to investigate tool performance, print accuracy and process stability across large numbers of prints.
- You will correlate printing parameters and print quality with the electrical and optical performance of the transferred devices.
- You will help develop automated data processing, visualization and analysis routines that allow process performance to be monitored and improved efficiently.
- You will work closely with process engineers, photonics researchers and equipment suppliers to translate experimental results into improvements of the printing process.
