General requirements

Master’s degree must be in Asian and Middle Eastern languages and cultures or a related field (e.g. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Middle Eastern, North African, or Turkish studies)
- Equivalent qualifications may also be accepted if comparable knowledge is demonstrated
- Fluency in the primary language of the area of study required
- Fluency in written and spoken English required
- Practical experience in the language area (e.g. exchange studies) is desirable
- General entry requirements include a completed master’s degree from a Swedish university or at least 240 higher education credits including at least 60 at the master’s level, or the corresponding international equivalents.

International — International tuition fees apply to students who are not citizens or permanent residents of the study country. In some regions, like the EU/EEA, or under certain agreements, students from partner countries may also pay domestic fees. Non-residents — Free
EU/EEA — European Economic Area tuition fee is applicable to the students from EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland. EU/EEA Nationals — Free
