MN Global Military Learning Network Curriculum and Instructional Design Specialist
This position will lead and facilitate consistent practices for evaluating and awarding undergraduate credit for military learning and occupational experiences. This position will work with administration, faculty, and staff to establish and maintain operating procedures and processes that facilitate curriculum alignment between Military Occupational Specialties and appropriate academic awards, including certificates, diplomas, and/or degrees. This position provides leadership in the development of online associate degree completion programs and bachelor’s degree transfer options. In addition to providing ongoing support for existing military bridge programs, this position will explore partnership possibilities with additional colleges and universities to grow the Global Military Learning Network (GMLN) and meet the employment and learning needs of military-connected learners. The Curriculum Instructional Design Specialist will also provide instructional design support for online courses and programs that model effective practice in distance learning.
Minimum Qualifications: Three years of experience and knowledge of academic programming, and the organizational structure of higher education campus policies and procedures, and managing academic curriculum and faculty work. A Bachelor’s degree in curriculum and instruction or an educational field can substitute for one year of experience; An Associate’s degree can substitute for six months of experience. Demonstrated knowledge of current best practices in online course design and pedagogy. Excellent organizational skills; self-directed and attentive to detail and accuracy. Excellent computer skills and understanding of computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written. Must have the ability to: lead and direct activities, identifying objectives, action steps, and resource needs; negotiate exchanges of resources, time or knowledge; collaborate with and/or influence others to the point of causing understanding and action.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in education or related field. Online teaching experience or familiarity with a learning management system such as D2L Brightspace. Personal experience or family relationships with current or former members of the military.

STARTING DATE: October 1, 2025. APPOINTMENT: Full-Time, Unlimited. SALARY RANGE: $28.26 – $41.43/hour ($59,007 - $86,506).
