"Mobile Science Teacher"

Ursinus College has an opening for a part-time Mobile Science Teacher to work with teachers in school districts surrounding Ursinus College for the Pennsylvania basic ed/higher education science partnership administered by Ursinus College. Ursinus College is a very selective liberal arts college located 20 miles west of Philadelphia in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. The College has long been recognized for its excellent science programs. Responsibilities: Duties include visiting high schools with a van that delivers modern science equipment aiding resident teachers in demonstrations and/or directing students in the use of this equipment, and helping to coordinate workshops for participating teachers. PA certification in a science area preferred (or someone who can obtain emergency certification), teaching experience, and the ability to work successfully with teachers at all levels of career development. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and possess good organizational skills. Previous experience in science outreach is desirable. A valid driver’s license is required. This is a grant funded position starting immediately.
