Model-based control for improved downstream processing of recombinant proteins.
About the Project
Since 1986, mAb manufacturing has shifted from low-titre processes (<0.5 g/L) to intensified and perfusion systems exceeding 10 g/L, creating severe downstream processing bottlenecks. ... Model-based control of downstream processing steps represents an improvement on current approaches. ... In this project, a model-based control strategy will be developed for a single-pass tangential flow filtration step (SPTFF) that will control the relevant process parameters in order to optimise the performance of the operation.
