Monitor Technician-Telemetry-Fulltime-Nights
Position Summary: Position identifies and communicates cardiac rhythm irregularities to other team members. This position provides for coverage and observation of cardiac monitors. Communicates changes in cardiac rhythm and recognition of life threatening dysrhythmia.
Required Qualifications:
- Possess knowledge of basic medical terminology, basic computer skills, telephone skills, and English
- Completion of a Cardiac Monitor Technician program designed for unlicensed health care providers
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Recent acute care experience as a ward/unit secretary / monitor tech preferred.
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
