Motorcycle Operations Coordinator

motorcycle shop. The position reports to the State Program Director and is housed at Lenoir Community College's Greene County Annex in Snow Hill. This position requires statewide travel. The duties of the Motorcycle Operations Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

Maintain and update Microsoft Excel spreadsheets used for student data, class activity, program tracking, quality assurance, inventory, grant compliance, and performance reporting
Create and maintain advanced Excel workbooks using structured tables, pivot tables, charts, data validation, conditional formatting, lookup functions, logical formulas, and other appropriate spreadsheet tools
Analyze historical and current program information to identify trends, patterns, variances, data limitations, and operational issues, and present clear findings to program leadership
Reconcile data among spreadsheets, the cloud-based class reporting system, source documents, and other approved systems to identify and resolve missing, duplicate, inconsistent, or inaccurate records
Collaborate with program staff to define reporting needs, translate operational questions into measurable indicators, and improve statewide data collection processes
Maintain accurate records within the program's approved class reporting, database, document management, and collaboration systems
Maintain organized electronic and physical files in accordance with data accuracy, confidentiality, records retention, and access requirements
Coordinate contract preparation, distribution, tracking, receipt, status updates, follow-up, and filing for quality assurance or quality control personnel
Maintain assigned program website content and social media accounts by coordinating with program leadership; creating, scheduling, publishing, and updating accurate information; monitoring routine inquiries; and routing questions or issues to the appropriate staff member
Maintain consistent branding, accessibility, accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality across program communications
Maintain accurate inventory records for motorcycles, motorcycle parts, tools, training materials, range supplies, safety equipment, shipping documentation, transfer records, and other program assets
Identify, prepare, package, and ship routine motorcycle maintenance parts, equipment, and training materials to sites and instructors throughout the state
Keep inventory, storage, and work areas organized, and assist with physical inventory counts and reconciliation
Assist with documentation and coordination needed to prepare surplus motorcycles, parts, or equipment for disposition, including approved online surplus processes
Perform routine maintenance or minor repairs when trained, qualified, and authorized, and promptly report safety concerns
Assist with maintaining existing training ranges and preparing measurements, materials, documentation, or layouts for new or revised ranges
Operate program vehicles and trailers only when properly licensed, trained, and authorized, and assist with safe loading, securing, transport, delivery, and pickup of motorcycles and equipment statewide
Develop and maintain harmonious working relations with motorcycle dealers, site coordinators, Lead RiderCoaches, RiderCoaches, community college partners, vendors, and staff
Provide administrative and logistical support for RiderCoach updates, meetings, workshops, open houses, rallies, and other program activities
Assist the State Program Director and other program personnel with special projects and perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

A combination of typical office, warehouse, motorcycle shop, outdoor training range, event, and travel environments
Frequently sitting at a desk or workstation using a telephone, computer, keyboard, mouse, spreadsheets, and cloud-based software; some standing and walking
Evening and/or weekend work is required
Frequent statewide travel to community colleges and other motorcycle training sites is required
Requires standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and climbing, and may involve working in tiring or uncomfortable positions
May require assisting with loading, securing, and unloading motorcycles and equipment from trucks or cargo trailers after appropriate training and authorization
Requires lifting, pulling, carrying, packaging, and positioning tools, equipment, parts, and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, with team or mechanical assistance used for heavier items
Requires use of appropriate personal protective equipment and compliance with college, program, vehicle, shop, range, and equipment safety requirements

Associate degree from an institution accredited by a federally recognized institutional accreditor in Business Administration, Office Administration, Information Technology, Logistics, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Experience managing business or organizational websites and social media platforms
Knowledge of inventory management, shipping and receiving, asset tracking, and multi-location program support
Working knowledge of motorcycle maintenance and repair sufficient to identify common parts, recognize service needs, and perform authorized routine tasks preferred
Excellent typing, public relations, written communication, oral communication, customer service, time management, and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities with minimal supervision
Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive student and program information
Valid driver's license and ability to meet College requirements for operation of assigned vehicles
North Carolina motorcycle endorsement preferred
Positive role model to North Carolina RiderCoaches
