"MRI Technologist"

In this role you will perform routine procedures in MRI on a scheduled and emergency basis while providing a safe environment for patients and following departmental QC/Exam Data Integrity Workflow Expectations. New hires may be eligible for a sign on bonus up to $15,000.00

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and evaluate requisitions for MR imaging procedures, abstracting data from patient charts and determining appropriateness of procedure prescribed given diagnosis and clinical signs for routine examinations.
• Select appropriate equipment and technical parameters to identify pathologic and normal anatomy.
• Assess patients' and parents' physical and emotional status and ability to respond to instructions and develop a care plan for that patients' specific needs.
• Explain the examination and is able to answer questions from patient and parents regarding the exam and Magnetic field environment.
• Respond to the uniqueness of the patient, creating a supportive environment for the patient and the family.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associates degree in allied health.

License/Certification: Current MA Radiologic Technologist license for MRI. MRI registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) and completed within 18 months of hire date. Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARRT certification. BLS certification.
