Department:
Housed in the University's Office of Development as part of their Marketing and Communications team. Works closely with our Development Director of Marketing and Communications.
Job Summary:
Supports multimedia campaigns or projects (could include but not limited to print, video, broadcasts or photography) by creating new multimedia materials or updating existing multimedia materials for marketing and communications initiatives.
Job Description:
- Develops and updates multimedia content using appropriate professional software according to specifications outlined within UM brand platform.
- Aptly applies tone, personality and style to specific media of expertise.
- Prepares drafts of materials based on the assigned job.
- Prepares, edits and supplies files, graphics, and other content needed for unit or institutional multimedia materials.
- Updates and maintains archive and graphic libraries for use by creative team.
Substitution Statement: An equivalent combination of related experience and education may be considered for this role. Substitutions of the required experience or education will be assessed on a 1:1 substitution basis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Graphic design support for the Office of Development
- Graphic design for gift proposals and impact reports
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Proficient in Adobe photoshop
- Proficient in Canva
- Responsible for creating email marketing designs and creating designs for postcards, invitations, thank you cards, and letterhead
- Assist in developing graphics for social media
- Basic photography skills
- Video editing
- Able to work well with a team
- Assist with website maintenance and upkeep
- Basic understanding of the role of the Office of Development and its impact on the University

$42,640.00 - $63,980.80
