School information: Towards the national strategy of innovation-driven development and the goal of building a world-class university, the School of Data Science and the Institute for Big Data at Fudan University were officially founded on October 8, 2015. The School and the Institute are committed to scientific research, technological innovation and talents education with Computer Science, Statistics and Mathematics as its foundation, and Biology, Medicine, Information and Technology, Environmental Sciences, Economics, Social Sciences, Management and many other areas as its domains of in-depth applications.
The School of Data Science aims at promoting academic research and education on data science, and the Institute focuses on developments and applications of Big Data to disciplinary sciences and the society at large. In addition, it has established an advanced system for Big Data collection, storage, retrieval, and computing. These integrated activities are managed by the same administrative team in order to forge the vertical integration of the education, research, interdisciplinary collaborations, and product development.

Duties and Responsibilities: The School of Data Science is committed to establishing itself as one of the top schools of data science. It adopts the tenure-track and tenure system widely used in North America and offers competitive salary and benefit. To be successful, the candidate must have a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching (approximately one course per semester) at both the undergraduate and the graduate levels.

Qualifications: The School of Data Science, Fudan University, has multiple positions available at all levels: Tenure-track Assistant Professor, Tenured Associate Professor, and Tenured Full Professor. Applicants with doctoral degrees in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, and other areas that are related to big data systems, computation, analysis, and their applications are invited to apply. All applicants working within the general areas of interest of the school will be considered.

Salary Range: The School of Data Science offers very competitive annual salaries, depending on qualifications, position ranks and experiences.
