Position Summary

The Department of Music at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for part-time affiliate faculty teaching positions. Responsibilities

Provide studio and/or classroom instruction in music. An affiliate faculty member's duties include teaching assigned classes in person or online, preparing course materials and lesson plans, grading student work, providing feedback, addressing student questions, and providing academic support; maintaining office hours; and complying with university policies.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Music or Bachelor's degree plus significant local recognition.

Preferred Qualifications

ABD or Master's degree in Music plus significant local recognition.

Terms of Employment

Affiliate faculty are part-time, at-will employees hired on a per credit hour basis, usually semester-by-semester. They are not eligible for benefit coverage. Qualified candidates will be expected to teach in person/on campus upon hire. Salary is based on the number of credit hours assigned at a rate determined by university policy.
