Music Instructor, Part-time Adjunct Pool

Kern Community College District is seeking applications for part-time, hourly adjunct instructors in Music. The starting salary is $67.00 per hour.

Basic Function

Kern Community College District accepts applications for part-time, hourly faculty pools on a continuous basis. This allows the division to contact qualified applicants immediately if a need arises. Applications remain active for up to two years.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's in music, or Bachelor's in music and Master's in humanities, or the equivalent. Candidates must demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. Degrees must be from accredited institutions.

• Ability to work effectively with colleagues and students in a diverse environment.
• Ability to develop curriculum, participate in recruitment, communicate effectively, maintain subject matter currency, assess student learning outcomes, and use technology.
• Knowledge of and commitment to the California community college mission.
