Job Summary:
The Muslim Student Life Advisor supports the Muslim community on campus by fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant environment for Muslim students. This role involves advising student organizations, coordinating cultural and religious programs, and serving as a resource for students exploring Muslim identity, culture, traditions, and spirituality. The Muslim Student Life Advisor collaborates with campus partners, local mosques, and organizations to develop programs and create opportunities for connection.This position also supports interfaith and intersectional programming by working closely with the Rachel Lord Center for Religious and Spiritual Life, the Sexuality, Women, and Gender Center, and the Center for Multicultural Life. By working closely with student leaders and student employees, this role helps support a robust student community within Ladd House, which is home to the three aforementioned centers.
OPTIONAL live-on responsibilities: Conductive monthly walk-throughs of all residential spaces documenting concerns. Be available and responsive to the needs during residential emergencies. Be present for the opening and closing of residential spaces. Be available for three weeks per semester for Administrator on Call rotation. Be present during college-declared weather emergencies. Volunteering for evening or weekend events when needed by other offices.
The hiring range for this position is expected to be: $55,660 - $59,340

Education/Skills Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents:
- 1-3 years related experience.
- Knowledge of and respect for traditions, cultures, and practices across different Muslim communities and religious movements.
- Experience working with college students or adults ages 17-25 in a mentoring or advisory capacity.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students.
- Demonstrated experience in Muslim education.
- Previous experience in Muslim communal life, student affairs, or nonprofit leadership preferred.
- Familiarity with residential college environments.

Standard Work Days and Hours:
Standard administrative hours are 8:30am - 5:00pm. This is a full-time position working 40 hours/48 weeks, (0.92 FTE). Exempt positions require the time commitment necessary to complete the essential duties of the position.
