Offer Description
The National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics – OGS announces a public selection process, based on qualifications and examinations, for the full-time, permanent recruitment of one (1) staff member as Technologist – III professional level – profile "Management of complex instrumentation on research vessels".
Candidates are required to demonstrate, through objective evidence, the ability to:
- configure onboard scientific instrumentation required to achieve the campaign’s scientific objectives;
- use and manage positioning and navigation systems, IT infrastructure, and the Geospatial Data Management System platform to support data acquisition activities;
- acquire, process, and interpret marine geophysical data, with particular focus on morpho-bathymetric, magnetometric, and seismic data;
- coordinate, plan, and manage geophysical characterization activities in offshore areas.
