Offer Description
This research activity is part of the PNRA project “DIONE” and continues within the PNRR project “ITINERIS” (Scientific Drilling Infrastructure ECORD-ICDP).The research aims to reconstruct the paleoenvironmental and paleoclimatic evolution of the Antarctic continental margin off the Sabrina Coast through: 1) processing multichannel seismic data acquired during the Antarctic expedition aboard the R/V Laura Bassi (February 13–21, 2026), followed by seismic-stratigraphic and structural interpretation; and analysis of high-resolution geophysical dataand morpho-bathymetric data acquired during the same expedition, correlated with sediment cores obtained from the study area. The plan is to develop a digital cataloguing and archiving system for lithological, sedimentological, and stratigraphic data obtained through marine drilling or coring.
