Research Fellow (Fluid Mechanics)
Job Description
This project intends to develop innovative weatherproof louvre panels that achieve objectives like preventing wind-driven raindrops from entering, optimizing natural ventilation with minimum flow resistance, enhancing daylighting which may not be achievable for existing commercial products. The work will involve numerical investigation of two-phase flows over louvre panels and experimental verification as well as optimal design by using neural network techniques.
Qualifications
The proposed project extensively involves mathematical modelling, computer programming, numerical simulation and experimental investigation of two-phase flows. It requires researchers to have PhD degree in mechanical/aerospace/civil engineering with strong expertise in experimental and computational fluid dynamics. The candidate must have experiences in coding, designing and developing flow facilities and diagnostic equipment.
