Features
The objectives of the Nautical and Marine Engineering and Naval Radio-Electronics programme at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia are as follows:
- To train and guide doctoral students in research work, ensuring that they acquire the technical and intellectual skills and theoretical competencies needed to present a doctoral thesis.
- To ensure that students are made aware of the latest research procedures and results in nautical and marine engineering and naval radio-electronics.
- To introduce doctoral students into the research groups and academic networks in which research activity related to their research area is conducted.

General requirements
- Applicants must hold a Spanish bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a Spanish master’s degree or equivalent, provided they have completed a minimum of 300 ECTS credits on the two degrees.
- Holders of an official Spanish bachelor’s degree comprising at least 300 credits, as provided for by EU regulations. Holder of degrees of this kind must complete bridging courses unless the curriculum of the bachelor’s degree in question included research training credits equivalent in value to those which would be earned on a master's degree.
- Holders of an official university qualification who, having passed the entrance examination for specialised medical training, have completed at least two years of a training course leading to an official degree in a health-sciences specialisation.
