on University of Utah Health Hospital and Clinics Neonatal Nurse
Practitioner clinical privileges application.
Coordinates and evaluates the clinical treatment of patients
with attending neonatologist on a daily basis.
Collaborates and makes referrals to consulting medical services
to provide treatment for patients in NICU.
Functions as a resource and preceptor for nurse practitioner
students in training.
Functions as a resource and consultant for residents and
neonatology fellows during their NICU rotations.
Provides antenatal consultation and education to families in
labor and delivery that will require NICU services.
Provides clinical summary and review of patient medical history
to referring community providers upon discharge.

- This position involves intensive work that may exert up to 100

Minimum Qualifications
Required
- Current APRN and Controlled Substance licenses in the State of
Utah.
- Current National Certification Corporation (NCC) certification
as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) instructor or
provider status.
- Current DEA license with a Utah practice address.
This position is patient-sensitive and must fulfill all associated

Preferred
Master's degree in Nursing with emphasis in neonatal
practitioner/clinical specialty or equivalency (one year of
education can be substituted for two years of related work
experience).
Candidates who are nearing completion of required licensure or are
actively obtaining Utah licensure are encouraged to apply.
Graduating applicants must be eligible for licensure and obtain all
required credentials prior to the start date. Candidates licensed
in another state must be in the process of securing Utah licensure
and must complete all Utah required licenses and certifications
before the start date.
