The Department of Otorhinolaryngology — Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is recruiting a Neurotologist. The ideal candidate will have the skill set to manage the full spectrum of Neurotology- otolaryngologic conditions, including hearing loss and tinnitus. At the University of Maryland Medical Center, our department enjoys a strong multi-disciplinary skull-based disorders alliance with Neurosurgery and Radiation Oncology. Clinical time will primarily focus on our downtown locations, which include the University of Maryland Medical Center and the VA Medical Center at Baltimore, and may include clinical support at other locations that advance our strategic clinical priorities. T eaching residents and medical students, as well as an interest in clinical/translational research is required. For candidates with a strong research background, protected time and resources may be available initially to develop a research program that would be expected to be independently funded over time.
Qualifications
Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Neurotology- otolaryngologists and will have completed a Neurotology fellowship. And be eligible for an unrestricted license in the State of Maryland. This position requires a medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent), a strong commitment to patient care and teaching, and the ability to work well in a team setting.
Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidate's experience.
Expected Compensation Range: $340,000 to $425,000, depending on rank and experience.
The referenced compensation range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This compensation range does not include all components of the department faculty compensation program or pay from participation in department variable compensation programs.
