Salary per annum, from Level A step 6 - step 8 ($102,024 - $109,307), plus 17% Superannuation

Work that matters
Funded by a newly awarded NHMRC grant, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to ground-breaking research into genetic causes of cerebral palsy. The successful candidate will bring expertise in working with stem cell models to support studies into the impact of genetic variants on neurodevelopment.
The team
Led by Dr Clare van Eyk and Professor Jozef Gecz, and with collaborators nationally and internationally, the Adelaide Cerebral Palsy Research Group in the Robinson Research Institute apply genomic technologies along with cell and animal models to uncover the underlying molecular mechanisms leading to cerebral palsy.

Experience
To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:
Award or near completion of a PhD with a focus on genetics, stem cell biology, developmental biology, or a related area.
Experience in culturing and maintaining cell lines, including human iPSC lines and derived cell types.
Experience in a range of molecular biology techniques, and the willingness to learn new techniques.
Experience in protocol development and excellent troubleshooting skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high level of organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a part of a team.
Desirable skills and experience
Experience in the statistical analysis of data, especially genomic data types, is highly desirable.
Experience in preparation of manuscripts and other written documents.
