Position, Department: Non-Credit Continuing Ed Instructor- Art, Workforce Development & Continuing Education

Type of Position: Non-Credit Instructor, Exempt

Work Schedule, Hours per week: Varies depending on department needs

Pay Range: $27.00 per hour

Position Summary: Johnson County Community College Continuing Education is seeking passionate and creative art instructors to teach non-credit courses in a variety of artistic disciplines. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and experiences who are excited to share their knowledge and inspire adult learners in a community-focused environment.

Areas of interest could include (but are not limited to): Drawing and Painting (watercolor, acrylic, oil, ink), Ceramics and Pottery, Sculpture, Mixed Media and Collage, Textile Arts (weaving, quilting, embroidery), Digital Art and Photography, Printmaking, Jewelry Making, Calligraphy and Paper Arts

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated expertise in one or more art mediums
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and respectful learning environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior teaching or facilitation experience preferred
