The Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department at
Middlesex College invites applications for a part-time, non-credit
instructors to teach the following courses:
- Script to Screen: Introduction to the Entertainment
Industry
- Introduction to Production Office: Production Coordinating and
Management
- Introduction to Production Accounting for Film and
Television
- Introduction to Location Management
- Introduction to Set Construction, Scenic Painting, and Set
Dressing
- Introduction to Hair and Makeup for Film and Television
- Introduction to Set Lighting and the Electric Department
- Costuming for Film and Television
- Grip and Rigging for Film and Television
Important: Please note that a non-credit instructor is not an
adjunct position. Successful candidates teach courses in the
Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning Department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts (or significant
relevant industry experience)
Academic and/or practical experience in an art discipline
relating to Film and Television
Previous teaching experience
Experience teaching adult learners
Ability to teach evenings, weekends, or days in Edison, New
Brunswick, or Perth Amboy
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s Degree in Fine Arts
- Teaching and/or experience in the field preferred
- Experience teaching in higher education

WDLL is current seeking instructors to teach in person, day or
evening at the Edison, New Brunswick, and Perth Amboy campuses for
Film Academy courses. Please note that this is a pooled position
for instructors. Completed applications will enable hiring
