Non-Tenure: Visiting Lecturer in French Language

The Department of Global Languages and Cultures in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for one (1) part-time Visiting Lecturer (50% FTE, Non-Tenure track) position in French language with a 9-month academic appointment beginning in fall 2026.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach two (2) courses per semester in French language, from the Beginning to the Advanced level, and to contribute to program building in French studies and academic service appropriate to the mission of the department and university. Depending on program needs, there may also be opportunity to teach additional courses.
The Department of Global Languages and Cultures offers degrees/programs in modern languages and Classics, and graduate degrees in Hispanic Studies, in addition to offering undergraduate minors in African Studies, Religious Studies, and Jewish Studies. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Master's level degree in French by the start date and significant teaching at the college level in the field or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- A PhD in French is preferred.
