Key Responsibilities
- Under supervision of a registered nurse, provide basic bedside nursing care and practice some advanced nursing procedures, caring for complex pediatric patients.
- In collaboration with the RN you will care for patients who may be on ventilators, with chest tubes, being hemodynamically monitored or with complex dressings and drainage tubes.
- You may also be responsible for obtaining vital signs, perform EKG's and oxygen saturation measurements.
- You will also work with staff to maintain unit (ordering/stocking) and provide support to families during this difficult time.
- This is a progressive nursing assistant role with increasing responsibility for nursing care planning and an opportunity to practice in a family centered environment.
- This co-op cycle will run from January 2026 - July 2026.
Qualifications
Education
- Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program at Northeastern University (NEU).
- Eligible for participation in the NEU co-op program.
Experience
- NEU undergraduate students must have completed at least three academic semesters to be eligible for co-op placement.
The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
