Position Description
Provides anesthesia related care to the University Medical Center patient population. Other duties as assigned.
Major/Essential Functions
- Provides anesthesia related care to the University Medical Center patient population. Other duties as assigned.
- Pre-ops
- Establish a plan of anesthesia treatment with anesthesia team and surgeon, while aligned with hospital guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work experience in a teaching institution/academic health center.
- PALS certification.
- Bilingual/Spanish speaking.
- AANA Professional Association.
Required Qualifications
Completion of a Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an approved program of nurse anesthesia accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs/Schools (American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) or scheduled to complete a Master’s degree in Nursing with 90 days of applying for a position. Two years experience in an acute care nursing setting. Current RN license in the State of Texas or have the ability to transfer license to Texas within 90 days of hire date. Current certification as a nurse anesthesiologist by the Council on Certification, or eligible to become certified. Acceptance of credentials as a CRNA by the State Board of Nurse Examiners prior to hire.
Salary
Pay Grade Minimum: $170,000.00 Monthly
Pay Grade Maximum: $350,000.00 Monthly
