Nursing care is delivered under established standing orders and clinical protocols authorized by the Medical Director. The Nurse Manager plays a critical role in training, supervising, and supporting staff in this advanced model of care delivery, ensuring clinical competency, sound judgment, and adherence to evidence-based protocols.

- Oversee immunization and tuberculosis (TB) compliance programs for students, including pre-matriculation and pre-college populations.
- Coordinate quality improvement (QI) and quality assurance (QA) initiatives, including peer review, chart audits, and data-driven performance monitoring to support continuous readiness and successful participation in AAAHC reaccreditation.
- Manage regulatory and safety programs, including emergency preparedness drills, infection control practices, and clinical competencies.
- Collaborate with university partners (e.g., Health Promotion, Human Resources, Pre-College Programs, and international campuses) to support student health initiatives and compliance requirements.
- Support financial and operational processes, including purchasing, expense reconciliation, and vendor coordination.
- Participate in leadership meetings, committees, and planning efforts within UHS or comparable experience and the Division of Student Affairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
