Position Overview
The Nurse Practitioner, a key member of Retriever Integrated Health Services within the Division of Student Affairs, plays an essential role in advancing the mission to promote the health, well-being, and safety of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) campus community. This position provides high-quality, evidence-based primary care to UMBC’s approximately 14,000 students, as well as to faculty and staff.

Telework
A hybrid telework schedule may be available.
Responsibilities
- Independently provide primary care in the college health setting to UMBC students, faculty and staff, including gynecology, sports medicine, routine ambulatory and urgent care, within the defined scope of practice
- Facilitate access to care and referrals as needed, assisting in the development of campus-wide health initiatives, assisting other departments’ health processes
- Participates in health education, health promotion programs and quality improvement activities
Required Minimum Qualifications
Education Required: Master of Science in Nursing Licensure/Certification Required: Certified Registered Family, Adult Nurse Practitioner, Current BLS/AED for health care providers, Licensed RN in Maryland, Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner
Preferred Qualifications
Experience Preferred: Two years in college health, ambulatory care or urgent care, gynecological experience, procedural experience such as IUD/LARC insertion, wound repair, etc.
