About the Opportunity

Kalamazoo Valley is seeking an experienced instructor in Nursing Education to fill a full-time, tenure-track position. Individuals should be familiar with a variety of instructional strategies and have an understanding of the community college ethos. In addition, candidates should possess experience with curriculum development and a willingness to collaborate across divisions.

Applications are invited from interested candidates who value and engage in high-quality, student-centered instruction. Duties will include teaching nursing courses, assisting in developing curriculum and participating in and leading departmental and college activities that support initiatives related to enrollment management, retention, student engagement and student success. Teaching assignments include a variety of day and evening courses. The position also includes opportunities for educational assessments, professional growth and enrichment. Successful candidates will demonstrate a willingness to embrace teamwork as they develop or redesign courses to meet student, transfer and workforce needs. The position will include teaching opportunities in the LPN and ADN nursing programs. This will comprise providing instruction in lecture, laboratory, clinical and simulation environments.

This position is anticipated to start Fall 2026.

Minimum Qualifications

• A Master’s degree with a major in Nursing and two years of medical-surgical nursing practice experience is required.
• Unencumbered State of Michigan RN license is required.
• Minimum qualifications must have been obtained by the date of hire.
