Position Summary:
Incumbent is responsible for coordinating practicums for the graduate nursing program. They will also serve as a liaison between the sites, students, nursing practicum adjunct faculty and preceptors. Assist in the organization of the FNP Residency and meet with students during this weekend to prepare for upcoming practicums.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate clinical rotations for: MS in Nursing Education, MS in Nursing Leadership, and MS-FNP practicum courses.
- When appropriate will identify and develop practicum sites necessary to meet the needs of the nursing graduate student.
- Serve as a liaison between the nursing department, clinical sites and the appropriate school offices at Utica University.
- Initiates and maintains contracts between Utica University and all clinical sites.
- Maintains student health records for practicum.
- Maintains practicum faculty licensure and health records.
- Maintains contact with clinical site facilities.
- Maintains preceptor agreement.
- Provide assistance to graduate nursing students regarding the practicum experience.
- Participate and engage in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives and programs.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred but will consider other degree and work experience.
Skills/Abilities:
- Must possess strong written, verbal and networking skills necessary to work with multiple constituencies
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft word, Excel and PowerPoint
- A strong commitment to diversity and work continually to enhance diversity of our students, faculty, and staff
- Understanding or ability to learn and use the Health Tracking Platform
- Understanding or ability to learn and use the Practicum Tracking Platform
