Compensation: Pay Range: $66,372.80 - $96,720.00/ year. Job Description: To schedule, direct and implement the daily functions for the department of hematology/oncology. To provide quality patient care and quality service to physicians. To implement RN-specific duties. To utilize critical thinking skills in evaluation of patient triage and care. To display good rapport and professionalism with all customers. Under the general direction and/or supervision of the director, to support and execute all clinic operations; adhere to all applicable state, federal and local laws pertaining to an ambulatory care center; and monitor standards as established by UAHSF to meet all applicable accreditation guidelines. To provide and supervise professional ambulatory nursing care to adult patients with hematologic and oncologic diseases. To possess specialized knowledge and skills gained through formal education and several years of training in oncology.
Qualifications: Associate's degree in Nursing and Eighteen (18) months of related experience required. Work experience may not substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. Current chemotherapy certification required or must be obtained within ninety (90) days of employment. Current OCN certification required or must be obtained within eighteen (18) months of employment. Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required or must be obtained within thirty (30) days of employment. Bone Marrow Transplant Certification (BMTC) required. ACLS certification preferred.
