Job Summary:
The Department of Nutrition and Hospitality Management at the
University of Mississippi invites applications for a Nutrition and
Hospitality Program Coordinator. This position provides
comprehensive administrative, academic, fiscal, and operational
support across the department, serving as a primary administrative
backbone for NHM’s accredited academic programs, graduate programs,
and Lenoir Dining facility operations. Working closely with the
Department Chair, Graduate Program Coordinators, Undergraduate
Program Directors, and faculty, the Coordinator advances student
success, program quality, and accreditation excellence while
ensuring seamless departmental workflows.
Key responsibilities include coordinating graduate and
undergraduate program administration, supporting accreditation
compliance and student success initiatives, and serving as a key
liaison between students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
Additionally, this role oversees departmental procurement and
fiscal operations, including managing the departmental P-card,
processing budgets and purchase requisitions, maintaining physical
inventory, and sourcing equipment, maintenance supplies, and
classroom materials for Lenoir Dining in accordance with university
policies.

Job Description:
Examples of Work Performed
- Coordinates on- and off-campus recruitment activities for
undergraduate and graduate programs, including outreach events and
prospective student communications.
Serves as a point of contact for prospective graduate students,
providing program information and guiding applicants through the
inquiry and admissions process.
Manages operational procurement for Lenoir Dining, including
equipment purchases, maintenance supplies, classroom materials, and
non-food inventory, in compliance with university purchasing
policies. Day-to-day food purchasing is managed by instructional
personnel associated with Lenoir Dining.
Manages physical inventory tracking and supply management for
Lenoir Dining, maintaining accurate records of equipment and
materials.
Monitors Lenoir Dining budget activity, processes requisitions
and purchase orders, and coordinates with vendors and dining
services partners to support day-to-day operational needs.
Manages the departmental procurement card (P-card for Lenoir
dining, including making authorized purchases for equipment,
maintenance, classroom supplies, and other operational needs;
reconciling transactions; maintaining receipts and documentation;
and ensuring compliance with university P-card policies and audit
requirements.
Serves as the departmental point person for the departmental
assurance of learning, supporting assessment data collection,
Courseleaf curriculum management, and accreditation documentation
for ACPHA- and ACEND-accredited programs.
Assists with curriculum management through Courseleaf,
including course updates, catalog revisions, and curriculum
approval processes in coordination with faculty and program
directors.
Supports accreditation efforts for department programs,
including organizing documentation, coordinating self-study data
collection, and assisting with site visit preparation for
accrediting bodies such as ACPHA and ACEND.
Works with Graduate Program Coordinators (GPC) and program
directors in hospitality management, the Didactic Program in
Dietetics (DPD), and the Coordinated Program in Dietetics (CP) to
manage graduate admissions workflows, including application
processing, applicant communications, coordination with the
Graduate School, and management of student holds and enrollment
exceptions.
Maintains and updates graduate and undergraduate program
catalogs and curriculum documentation in coordination with program
directors and GPCs, including catalog revisions and administrative
approval processes.
Manages inbound international travel requests and study abroad
approvals for students, ensuring compliance with university
policies and coordinating with relevant university offices.
Provides administrative support to the department chair,
including assistance with faculty and staff searches, committee
coordination, and departmental reporting as assigned.
Maintains accurate student and program records to support
accreditation, and continuous improvement efforts.
Supports faculty with administrative needs and assists with
departmental events and initiatives as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.

approvals for students in compliance with university policies and
procedures.
- Maintain student and program records and ensure compliance with
departmental and university policies.
- Support faculty and department leadership with administrative
tasks and departmental initiatives as assigned.
