Job Summary: Perform basic occupational therapy responsibilities for individuals on the East Central Regional Hospital, Augusta campus and Gracewood campus through the AU/DBHDD partnership. These include restoring functionality, alleviating pain, and preventing disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed treatments.
Responsibilities:
- OT: Supporting and assisting in the treatment plan, patient education, and documentation. Assist with daily tasks and enhance patients' independence. Teach and work with individuals and nursing staff using adaptive equipment as necessary.
- CEU: Maintain CEUs and certification.
- Other: Other responsibilities as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED, combined with completion of a two-year Occupational Therapy Assistant program accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
Required Experience: Certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association, licensure by the Georgia State Board of Occupational Therapy, and a minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (C.O.T.A.).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Ability to maintain confidentiality, detail-oriented, excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
Shift/Salary/Benefits: Shift: Days/M-F. Pay Band: 10. Salary: $25.24/hour - $31.54/hour. Benefits include health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, retirement options, vacation time, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays.
