Occupational Therapist- Brachial Plexus Program
The Michigan Medicine Brachial Plexus Program is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join a specialized, patient and family centered team supporting individuals with complex neurological and peripheral nerve conditions across the lifespan. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an integrated clinical program that prioritizes collaboration, continuity of care, and meaningful functional outcomes within a leading academic medical center.
This position splits time between a multidisciplinary brachial plexus clinic, where the Occupational Therapist partners closely with specialty providers, and an ambulatory therapy setting that provides follow-up and ongoing care. You’ll work with both pediatric and adult patients with brachial plexus injuries, peripheral nerve disorders, and congenital conditions in a coordinated, team-based model.

This role also offers opportunities to contribute to program development, quality improvement, and educational or research initiatives.
We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative clinician who is motivated to deliver exceptional care and be part of a program focused on improving outcomes and experiences for patients and families.
You will provide direct patient care designed to restore and maximize function by utilizing evidence-based treatment interventions while working in coordination with a multidisciplinary treatment team.
Supporting responsibilities include:
- Deliver care across the continuum, including evaluation, pre-operative preparation, post-operative rehabilitation, and long-term management
- Provide patient and family education related to diagnosis, treatment planning, splinting/positioning, and recovery expectations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including orthotic intervention and use of rehabilitative technologies
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and support transitions across care settings and community providers
- Contribute to patient care planning within the multidisciplinary clinic model
- Participate in program development, quality improvement, and educational or research initiatives as assigned
