Job Summary
This role involves processing supplies and instruments for distribution, including inspecting, packaging, storing, and maintaining dental instruments. It includes accuracy in billing, monitoring lost or broken items, and implementing inventory control under limited supervision.
Responsibilities
- QUALITY CONTROL: Ensure quality control on products, process damaged equipment, and handle maintenance and repairs.
- DEPARTMENT LIAISON: Act as liaison for dental equipment cassettes, communicate changes, and ensure proper instrument supply.
- SECURITY & INVENTORY: Maintain security for inventory modules and assist with database management and reports.
- COORDINATION OF PURCHASES: Assist with purchasing supplies and maintain records of instruments sent for repair or replacement.
- AXIUM/INVENTORY CONTROL: Operate Axium system for inventory tasks like labeling and checking instruments.
- STERILIZATION/OTHER DUTIES: Assist in Central Sterilization and perform other assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, or High School Diploma with three years of office support experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree with two years of experience in a dental setting and knowledge of AxiUm software.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of dental instruments and office equipment.
- SKILLS: Strong organizational, computer, communication, and multi-tasking skills.
- ABILITIES: Flexibility, confidentiality, proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to learn Axium, prioritize work, and enforce policies.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F; Pay Band: B3; Salary Minimum: $16.54/hour; Benefits include health insurance, retirement, vacation, sick leave, and holidays for full-time employees.
