Office Specialist - Part Time
Job Summary
This position will work in the Office of the Vice Provost to provide support and work with the Classroom Scheduling team.
Responsibilities
ADMINISTRATIVE TASKS: Assist with all required paperwork/forms for internal/external events. Route all approved forms as appropriate. Creates new client user accounts, and trains users on the application. Work with clients to troubleshoot errors when accessing the scheduling system. Coordinate room/university space changes for last-minute issues as needed. Identifying and resolving scheduling errors or conflicts by creating searches in the scheduling system and resolving event placement requests, disputes, and conflicts among enterprise needs.
COMPLY WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE STANDARDS: Scheduling academic classes in compliance with classroom and event scheduling, coordination of support staff, and related policies.
COMMUNICATION: Assist in the management of email requests for classroom or event space requests/changes. Maintaining communication and relationship with appropriate event support organizations including instructional support, audiovisual support, facilities, and related units.
: Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field OR High School diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization with a minimum of three years of progressively responsible office support experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and experience working with higher education scheduling system software.

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills. Must have excellent time management skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and work effectively as a team member or independently. Ability to process and comprehend complex processes and standard operating procedures.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
This is a part-time partial benefits eligible position (.50 FTE or 20.0 hours per week)
Shift: Days; M-F
Pay Band: B3
Salary Minimum: $16.54/hourly-$16.60/hourly
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
