Seeking an Associate Professor to co-lead and develop Health Ethics, Law, and Professionalism courses for the MD program, ensuring an excellent learning experience
- Based at our Geelong, Waurn Ponds Campus + hybrid work arrangements
- Part-time (0.8 FTE) and continuing
- Level D $165,549 - $182,092 + 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time)

As an Associate Professor, you will:
- Lead teaching teams to develop innovation in curriculum design to inform unit/courses and materials which influence teaching across discipline within the university. Lead review of units and courses across disciplines within the university and lead refinements. Lead and integrate industry, clinical and/or research practices to inform unit / course design across discipline in peer institutions or nationally.
- Lead the discovery and adoption of innovative teaching practices at university level and deliver learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices across different levels / modes of delivery.
- Design collaborative learning opportunities that span the discipline within the university and involve learners, teachers and the community. Support diverse learners by designing accessible and inclusive learning experiences and resources at the discipline level.
- Lead the development of effective assessment tasks and rubrics across discipline within the university and implement innovative practices to improve learning outcomes. Provide clear assessment criteria and timely feedback to learners to demonstrate learning outcomes. Lead moderation of assessment tasks at discipline level. Provide academic support to students within units and courses and work collaboratively to improve student support services to optimise student outcomes.
To be successful, you’ll have:
- PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g., health ethics, health law, health social sciences).
- Distinguished scholarly learning and teaching in UG and PG programs or health professional. training, including innovative curriculum design and supervision to doctoral level.
- Internationally recognised research reputation underpinned by publications in high quality journals.
- Success in obtaining and timely completion of competitive external research grants.
- Successful engagement with research, community, industry and government to enhance the national and international standing of the discipline.
- Demonstrated success and passion for leadership of teaching, research and/or administration.
