Position Summary:
AUIB is seeking a dynamic and experienced Faculty in Biology or any closely related field to drive its mission of delivering high-quality, student-centered education and advancing research and innovation. Position Summary:
- Teach basic and advanced courses for undergraduate students of diverse majors in the following areas of biology: anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, histology, and biochemistry
- Assist in departmental and programmatic planning and preparations.
- Be familiar with all the rules, regulations and policies that govern teaching, and interactions with members of the university community and always observe them.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Excellence in Teaching: Demonstrated ability to effectively teach and inspire undergraduate students in Biology courses.
- Student-Centered Approach: Commitment to mentoring and supporting students’ academic and professional growth.
- Supervise lab
- Contribute to pertinent departmental and programmatic planning and preparations.
- Be familiar with all the rules, regulations and policies that govern teaching, research, and interactions with members of the university community and always observe them.
Education and Experience:
- Required Education: Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related field from a reputable college/ university.
- Years of Relevant Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience post-secondary in a college/ university setting.
- Specific Skills or Expertise: Familiarity with the American higher education system, and strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Additional Certifications: not required
- Personal Attributes: Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning; values diversity, collaboration, and innovation; and contributes positively to a student-centered academic environment.
