Job Summary:

The University of Colorado School of Medicine’s Division of Cardiology has an immediate opening for a non-invasive cardiologist to join our team as a clinician educator. This position will involve a range of general cardiology responsibilities split between the flagship University of Colorado Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus and one of its associated hospital-outpatient department ambulatory clinics in the Denver Metro area.

The preferred candidate should be board certified/eligible in Cardiovascular Medicine by the ABIM. The candidate should also be trained and proficient in echocardiography services.

There will be opportunity for academic work, including education, investigation, and administration within a large academic medical center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Approximately 50-75% of patient care on the Anschutz Medical Campus is split between ICU/inpatient rounding, clinic, and ancillary cardiology services at the University of Colorado Hospital Heart and Vascular Center.
• Approximately 25-50% ambulatory cardiac services at one of the outlying hospital outpatient department clinics in the Denver Metro area.
• ~2.0 days of outpatient clinic time per week (four half-day sessions), some of which will be dedicated to cardio-obstetrics and a third day focused on echocardiography.
• Prioritize referrals from Ob-Gyn and Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Perform echocardiography +/- nuclear cardiology services

Work Location: Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora and Denver, Colorado.
