Provide surgical care including routine, premium, and complex cataract surgery, anterior segment procedures, minor in-office procedures, and laser procedures including YAG capsulotomy.

Working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, managing a mix of urgent cases and a base patient load. Assessing the severity of eye complaints to determine if they need immediate intervention and referral to subspeciality care.

Contribute to the Department of Ophthalmology's academic mission through participation in education, service, and research.

Work Location:

Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Boulder, CO.

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below:

Assistant Professor

• Qualified candidates must have a MD or DO and have completed an approved residency program in Ophthalmology. Must have a Colorado medical license or be eligible.

Associate Professor

• Qualified candidates must have a MD or DO and have completed an approved residency program in Ophthalmology. Must have a Colorado medical license or be eligible.
  
  
• 4-7 years of experience
  
  

Preferred Qualifications all ranks:

• Previous work experience in an academic or hospital based healthcare environment is preferred.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range ( or hiring range ) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Assistant Professor

$225,000 – $250,000

Associate Professor

$250,000 - $300,000

The above salary range ( or hiring range ) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
