Working with the Department of Orthopedics and the
Musculoskeletal Oncology Section, to achieve collaboration and
synergy with other sections in Orthopedics and other clinical
departments in the School of Medicine.
Developing, conducting, leading and presenting your own
research in accordance with the Department of Orthopedics' research
mission
Presentation of research findings in local, national, and
international venues and publication of findings in the
peer-reviewed literature
Participating in the education of medical students, graduate
students, orthopedic residents, clinical fellows and postdoctoral
trainees via formal training programs in the Department and in the
School of Medicine
Contribute to fostering a culture of teamwork and
accountability in the Department of Orthopedics, the CPMR, the CU
Sarcoma Program, Metastatic Bone Disease Program, and the Cancer
Center

Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of
hire.
This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant
Professor or Associate Professor based on experience and
qualifications as indicated below:
Assistant Professor
- Completion of at least a one-year Orthopedic Oncology
Fellowship
- Board certified/eligible as an orthopedic surgeon
- Evidence of previous research productivity
- Completion of a 5-year residency in Orthopedic Surgery
Associate Professor
- Completion of at least a one-year Orthopedic Oncology
Fellowship
- Board certified as an orthopedic surgeon
- Completion of a 5-year residency in Orthopedic Surgery
- Track record of high impact publications
- Evidence of previous research grant submissions
Rank at the time of appointment will be based on the candidate's
demonstrated contributions and experience in teaching, clinical,

Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in developing a clinical practice with focus on
sarcoma patients, metastatic bone disease patients, and patients
