Job Summary

The Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition of the University of Colorado School of Medicine (CU SOM) and the Digestive Health Institute of Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) are seeking a BC/BE pediatric gastroenterologist for a faculty position to be located in Colorado Springs at the Briargate Clinic and Childrens Hospital Colorado – Colorado Springs. The candidate must be thoroughly trained and experienced in pediatric gastroenterology and GI diagnostic procedures and qualify for appointment at the Assistant Professor rank as a Clinical-Educator in the CU SOM.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient care in Pediatric Gastrointestinal Diseases at Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) Colorado Springs and CU Briargate Specialty Clinics for Children locations, including inpatient attending and outpatient clinics, as well as performing the full range of gastrointestinal procedures, including performance of procedures at CHCO facilities.
• Provide consultative and call support services for CHCO and affiliated healthcare partners.
• Clinical focus in GI diseases and be experienced in the full gamut of pediatric GI disorders and GI procedures
• Education and teaching of pediatric and family practice residents, pediatric gastroenterology fellows, students, and others
• Attend relevant conferences (Wednesday AM 07:30-9:00) and other continuing education opportunities
• Attend bi-monthly Anschutz and Briargate faculty meetings via teleconference or in-person
