Open Rank Clinic Patient Support Services Technician (Level I - III)
Job Summary
The Clinic Patient Support Services Technician (I - III) provides front desk and patient support services and will be supervised by the Clinic Manager, the Clinic Team Lead, a senior counselor, or another designee of the Clinic Manager. This position is located in a clinic/office environment, as well as periodic work on the ARTS Medication Mobile Unit. This position will primarily work with patients who are in treatment for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and/or participating in Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), patients who are referred to the University/ARTS from probation departments, parole offices, departments of human/social services, judicial districts, and the criminal justice system, as well as other referral sources. This position is based on a 40-hour workweek.
Standard working hours are typically 5:00am-1:30pm or 10:30am-7:00pm on Monday-Friday, and/or 6:30-9:30am on Saturdays. This position may periodically provide coverage at other AOP clinic locations and/or the ARTS Medication Mobile Unit as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in clinic operations at an ARTS Adult Outpatient Program clinic and/or the ARTS Medication Mobile Unit.
- Coordinate and maintain clinic staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage in the clinic.
- Provide professional and courteous services to patients.
- Provide in-person and telephone reception at the clinic and/or the ARTS Medication Mobile Unit as required.
- Ensure the clinic and/or the ARTS Medication Mobile Unit's bills, invoices, etc. are paid in a timely manner to support smooth clinic operations.
- Accurately record and maintain all records for clinic and/or the ARTS Medication Mobile Unit operations purchases, invoices, receipts, and any other documentation for monthly review and approval.
- Complete and provide monthly billing report and statistics to AOP Program Director of Operations, their designee, and/or other ARTS staff.
Work Location
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Denver, CO.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Technician I:
One (1) year of professional experience in managing, conducting, or overseeing the daily operations of an office, clinic, reception/front desk, customer service, or any other similar operational function for an office, company, agency, or organization.
+ Substitution: A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to one (1) year.
Technician II:
Two (2) years of professional experience in managing, conducting, or overseeing the daily operations of an office, clinic, reception/front desk, customer service, or any other similar operational function for an office, company, agency, or organization.
+ Substitution: A combination of education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to two (2) years.
Technician III:
Three (3) years of professional experience in managing, conducting, or overseeing the daily operations of an office, clinic, reception/front desk, customer service, or any other similar operational function for an office, company, agency, or organization.
+ Substitution: A combination of education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to three (3) years.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in business, business administration, or a closely related field.
- Experience working in a behavioral health, mental health, psychology, health care, or closely related workplace setting.
- Experience working with individuals in medication assisted treatment (MAT).
- Experience providing support to clients, families, staff, and other stakeholders in a substance use disorder or other similar clinical setting.
- Experience with procurement, purchasing, billing and/or contract management.
- Experience managing financial documents such as invoices and expenses, tracking expenditures.
- Experience with gathering and calculating patient, financial, and/or statistical data for reporting.
- Experience with managing electronic health records and online billing systems.
- Possess a current and valid Certified Addiction Technician (CAT) certification or higher, in good standing with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.

Technician I: $41,844 - $51,881
Technician II: $43,932 - $54,473
Technician III: $50,856 - $63,062
