"Open Rank- Clinical Faculty in Child Neurology"

Job Summary

The Medical College of Georgia, Section of Child Neurology, at Augusta University is seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, who will also hold an additional administrative post as the Section Chief of Child Neurology. The faculty member must be board eligible or certified. The faculty member will provide patient care, engage in medical student and neurology resident and fellow education, and participate in clinical research. The tenure status will be determined based on qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-disciplinary child neurology program and team
• Direct patient care and clinical support functions, as well as providing oversight for program safety and quality
• Oversee all aspects of neurological care of child neurology patients

Required Qualifications

MD or MD/PhD degree (or equivalent); Successful completion of a neurology residency and child neurology fellowship at accredited institutions; Eligibility for licensure in Georgia and board certification or eligibility in Neurology. Assistant Professor: Early level career with appropriate post graduate training. Associate Professor: Mid level career with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor. Professor: Senior level career with at least five years at rank of Associate Professor.
