The Division of Maternal- Fetal Medicine, in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University is currently seeking a faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor. This position offers the opportunity to engage in a mix of clinical care, teaching, and research in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows while providing high-level care for medically and surgically complex pregnancies. This position does not meet the requirements to be on a tenure track.
Responsibilities
Patient Care - 90%
Provide inpatient and outpatient consultative care for high-risk pregnancies
Perform and interpret advanced fetal imaging and diagnostic procedures (e.g., ultrasound, amniocentesis, CVS)
Participate in labor and delivery coverage and multidisciplinary care planning
Student/Resident/Fellow Education - 5%
Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows
Scholarly Activities - 5%
Participate in or lead research and scholarly activities aligned with departmental goals
Required Qualifications
- MD, DO or equivalent from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine
- Eligible for medical licensure in Georgia
Assistant Professor- Early level career as a faculty member with appropriate post graduate training.
Associate Professor- Mid level career faculty member with at least five years at rank of Assistant Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
Professor- Senior level career faculty member with at least five years at the rank of Associate Professor or comparable training, background, and experience.
