Position Summary / Purpose:

The Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland is a top-ranked business school with a diverse global student body and a highly regarded faculty.

The Decision, Operations & Information Technologies Department focuses on the intersection of strategy, operations, analytics, and technology. It has strong industry partnerships and a top-10 ranked Management Information Systems program.

Growing undergraduate and graduate programs in Information Systems create opportunities for teaching faculty passionate about mentoring future business-technology leaders. Candidates should be comfortable teaching technology within a business context.

This is a full-time professional-track faculty position, either Lecturer or Clinical, depending on qualifications and experience.

Areas of Teaching Opportunities Include:

  • Programming and analytics (Python and R), Web application development
  • Database management, enterprise data management, cloud computing
  • Analysis and design of business processes and business systems
  • Business productivity from emerging technologies: Blockchain, IoT, Machine Learning, AI
