Open-Rank Faculty - Cybersecurity

Position Description

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the College of Engineering at Texas Tech University invites applications for a full-time, 9-month tenure-track, Open-Rank (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) Faculty position in Cybersecurity to begin January 16, 2027. Senior faculty candidates with exceptional record could be considered for tenure.

Major/Essential Functions

As a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, you will be expected to:

1. Contribute to the teaching and research mission of the department.
2. Mentor graduate students.
3. Develop a record of peer-reviewed/funded research.
4. Provide service to the department, college, and university.

Faculty Qualifications

1. Doctorate in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering or closely related field, obtained by position start date.
2. Experience of teaching existing undergraduate and graduate courses and of developing new courses or a record that demonstrates experience in both areas.
3. Record of securing extramural funding, scholarly publications, collaborations, and training of students, all related to building a strong and resilient research program in the area(s) of AI-enabled Cyber Security, Cyber Physical Systems, Power System Security, Cryptography, or IT Security.
4. Evidence of service to the department, college, and university, including working with various student populations and first-generation students.
