Teach doctoral, master's, and undergraduate courses in the
Recreation and Sport Management division.
Serve as an advisor for graduate research including doctoral
dissertations.
Maintain a sustained program of scholarly research resulting in
peer-reviewed publications.
Pursue externally funded research and contribute to
collaborative grant initiatives where appropriate.
Contribute to the department's research productivity and
national visibility.
Participate in departmental, college, and university
service.
Maintain active engagement with professional organizations and
the sport industry.
Required Qualifications
Assistant Professor:
- Earned doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DBA, or equivalent) in Sport
Management, Sport Administration, Sport Business, Kinesiology with
a sport management emphasis, or a closely related field by the time
of appointment
- Evidence of an emerging program of scholarly research related
to sport management or the sport industry
- Evidence of potential for sustained research and
scholarship
- Evidence of potential for excellence in teaching and mentoring
graduate students
Associate Professor:
- Earned doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DBA, or equivalent) in Sport
Management, Sport Administration, Sport Business, Kinesiology with
a sport management emphasis, or a closely related field.
- Eligible for tenure at the Associate Professor rank at time of
hire.
- Evidence of an established and productive research agenda
related to sport management or the sport industry.
- Evidence of effectiveness in teaching and mentoring graduate
students.
Professor:
- Earned doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DBA, or equivalent) in Sport
Management, Sport Administration, Sport Business, Kinesiology with
